Also known as the Greyhound

The Greyhound in Balaam Street is one of the five oldest pubs in Plaistow mention in 1742, and was formerly the Greyhound and Hare, the name to which it has now reverted after a spell as 'The Sportsman' in the trendy 1970s. Rebuilt in 1773, parts of the present building although altered, may date from that time.
